The Catholic Church is committed to ensuring our communities are safe places for all.

All volunteers in the parish must submit references as to their suitability. Anyone involved in 'regulated work' in the parish, that is, work with children or vulnerable adults, must have received PVG membership and attended safeguarding training provided by the Archdiocese.

If you have a safeguarding concern, please be in touch with one of our Parish Safeguarding Co-ordinators. In Selkirk, this is Sue Cook, in Melrose, Colette Edie and in Galashiels, Cath Cormie. Details of how to contact them can be found on the poster in each church.
