As a result of the restrictions in place due to COVID-19 the public celebration of Holy Mass is currently not allowed. Fr Kingham continues to offer Mass in the Church of Our Lady & St Andrew. The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) is available on Saturday from 10.30-11.00am in Galashiels; Saturday 5.15-5.45pm in Selkirk; and on Sunday at 9.00am in Melrose; or at call. | |||
The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated on Sundays either during Mass or afterwards. See Fr Kingham for more information. | |||
The Sacrament of the Sick - please contact Fr Kingham. If you are going in to hospital, please see Fr Kingham beforehand to arrange anointing. In-patients at all hospitals must make a request to the nursing staff that the Catholic chaplain visit as data protection laws prohibit the chaplain from obtaining details of any parishioners in hospital. | |||
Marriage - Couples wishing to marry in the parish must give at least 6 months' notice. It is advisable to check the availability of the church and the celebrant before booking any reception venue. | |||
Children's Liturgy is provided at the 11.00am (Galashiels) Sunday Masses. |
